The diary blog is finally going to have the cobwebs swept off of it!
It’s been a busy month at Media Eden HQ, as well as the usual goings on, we’ve been event central.
Cheltenham Carnival and Fun Day in aid of Linc was a great success. Throughout the day performances took place in Montpellier Park, with the Fairground drawing crowds from the very start of the day.
The Park was taken over my marquees filled with munchkin hat makers and wearers, soon to be circus stars and an entire trade village filled with lots of lovely products.
The day was topped off with a great parade through the streets of Cheltenham where those who had made Munchkin hats got to show them off to the tune of ‘We’re off to see the wizard’ complete with dance routine.
Unfortunately I missed the parade part of the day, but during my wanderings of the venue I managed to take a few snaps that can be seen on the Facebook page.
Hopefully the success of this year will encourage everyone to do it all again next year, it’s all for a good cause.
Whilst handling some elements of the Carnival, we’ve been sorting the entirety of the first ever Lechlade Festival, set to take place over 28th & 29th May 2011 on the banks of the Thames.
The planning for this event had just about begun when I joined Media Eden last year so it’s been fascinating seeing it all the way through. It’s been a busy past few months but we’re wrapping up the print and design this week and have been promoting online and around the local area (Flash mob complete with Lechlade Festival cupcakes anyone? )
The weekend is fast approaching and we’re looking forward to seeing the final product of all the hard work. Everyone has crossed fingers for good weather! Join us for some great music, entertainment, food, drink and shopping stalls – tickets are still available!
