With an increasing number of web profiles and details stored online, how much consideration do you give to your online identity? Many of us use the same password for multiple accounts, I certainly know that I am guilty of this and it’s not exactly a mathematic algorhtymn . This week saw tens of thousands of Twitter accounts hacked, with users simply clicking a link about a weight loss product, which then led to them tweeting the link for others to succumb to a similar fate. According to Twitter’s Del Harvey the attack is related to a previous attack against gossip website Gawkers which had 1.3 million commenter accounts hacked.

Interestingly Gawker.com has released its ten most common passwords, as follows:
